The route from Cogolo: what to expect
The initial stretch from Cogolo to Ossana is the most distinctive: the valley is narrow, the landscape alpine, and the Noce River flows noisily alongside. The route crosses the bridge towards Comasine and tackles a short climb before Ossana—the only uphill section of the entire cycle path. After passing Ossana and Fucine, the route opens up onto the widest part of the Val di Sole, becomes progressively flatter, and continues to Mezzana, about halfway.
From Mezzana onwards, the route runs along the Noce River until Mostizzolo, where you can return by train or bike bus. The initial stretch from Cogolo is effortless with an e-bike—it's the best option for families, couples, and those who don't cycle regularly but still want to start from the beginning.
